We’ve lived in Seattle for seven years now which means that we’ve probably missed more East Coast family gatherings than we’ve made. When we lived in PA and NJ, we rarely missed a wedding, graduation party or baby shower. It’s one of the most challenging things about living so far from family. When we do see everyone though, it’s a party and party we did as we celebrated Dan’s cousin Krista’s wedding.
We took the ferry from Lewes, DE to Cape May, NJ on Friday evening so that we could watch the sunset on our way up to the wedding. Renee had a “planes, trains and automobiles” experience trying to get to Delaware during some stormy weather south of us so she missed the trip up with us which was a bummer.
Krista married a super sweet and funny guy named Jonathan and they are absolutely adorable together. Here are a few pictures of her and Jonathan and Uncle Chris with her, Shannon and Glen.
Before the party started, we took a few family pictures of everyone dressed up.
Evan use to despise putting on dress clothes. I think he stayed in a full suit until an hour before the night ended. He didn’t want the party to end and asked us if we could “do this again tomorrow.” He loved spending time with cousins and family.
