One of the many things that we miss about living on the West Coast is family therefore it was wonderful to be able to spend some time with Mike, Colleen and the kids this month. We took a day to drive onto Fenwick Island Beach for some surfing, body boarding, BBQ and shenanigans! Below is a picture of “I will try anything once” Maura with one of Uncle Shawn’s surf boards. I love this picture of her! Dan tried to get Maura up on the board but the surf was pretty persistent. She’s body boarding on the right.
Ev spent almost the entire day in the water body boarding and surfing. Here are a few shots of him catching some waves!
We fished, walked the beach taking in everyone’s flags, swam, enjoyed a wonderful picnic, chased Chewy, told stories and soaked up sun and each others company.
I’m so glad that we thought to capture a few pictures of the kids before the day was over. We have so few opportunities to have them all together. (Pictured here from left to right ~ Jack, Maura, Emma, and Evan) Although they are second cousins, they treat and act more like first cousins. I love that they had this week together.
Right after we packed the car to head home after one of the best beach days that we’ve ever had here (perfect weather!), we had someone snap this photo of our crew.
We had a nice dinner on my 29th birthday back at Catch 54 surrounded by family. We indulged on oysters, haddock, Rosé, and a birthday brownie sundae!
